I live in the Cheshire countryside,,
I paint in my studio overlooking my organic garden, the birds, squirrels,frogs and hedgehogs are a constant fascination for me,
My paintings are mainly about three things. Colour, balance and nature.
All my art is hand worked, usually from observation and photographs for reference, occasionally plain air if I'm painting landscapes/seascapes, ..
I also enjoy taking my own photos, part of the attraction of a great painting is not just the painting process but also in seeing, understanding and capturing that specific moment in time,
I'm mainly self taught, I'm constantly working to find ways to truly capture the essence of nature through my paintings.
