James Henry Dowd (1884 – 1956)
Painter, draughtsman and printmaker who spent part of his early life in Sheffield but later settled in London. He contributed to publications including Punch and produced a popular book, Important People. Exhibited RA, RP, Cooling Galleries and elsewhere in London.
